Program Speaker
Jesse King is 24 and lives with his family in the same house he grew up in Newton, MA. He began speaking for the Autism Unit presentations with Understanding Our Differences a few years ago and has shared his story in places like Wakefield, Malden, Melrose, and more. He also works as the assistant teacher of an after school kids theatre program for grades 2-5, where he has worked at for about 3 years. He loves speaking for Understanding Our Differences because he finds immense value in helping kids, and people in general, understand disabilities when there is so much misinformation and stigma. He always loves the students’ insightful and thoughtful questions. He believes the first step to inclusion is understanding and compassion, and he hopes he can make a positive impact in people’s lives.
