Our July 17th celebration of Disability Pride Month, and the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), was a great success.

Partnering with Newton’s Commission On Disability and the Newton Free Library, Understanding Our Differences presented a terrific panel discussion and Q&A with the audience at the library.

Moderator Gary Alpert, co-president of UOD’s Board, and panelists Nyree Kibarian, Robert Solomon, Nathan Persampieri, Jack Lovett and Barbara Lischinsky (l to r in photo) shared their experiences, their hopes and wishes for today and the future. They were incredible ambassadors, teachers and allies as we navigate these waters for better rights and inclusion in every corner of our community.
